Lean Six Sigma for Healthcare Operations Program receives accreditation
NEOMED Executive Education is proud to announce that the Lean Six Sigma for Healthcare Operations program has been accredited by the Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC), an industry leader for Six Sigma curriculum accreditation! The accreditation is based on three parts, including course curriculum, course structure requirements, and testing/certification. LSS program director, Jordan Cinderich, commented that, “CSSC accreditation elevates the reputation of the Lean Six Sigma for Healthcare Operations curriculum and validates that our program is teaching healthcare professionals the necessary skills to be active change agents in their organization.” The two programs are now listed on the Council for Six Sigma website.
The Lean Six Sigma (LSS) for Healthcare Operations program was originally developed in response to the NEOMED and University Hospital (UH) partnership to provide professional development opportunities to caregivers while improving quality and patient outcomes. Since its launch in March of 2024, the LSS for Healthcare Operations program has engaged over 160 UH caregivers and supports around 40 quality improvement projects in the UH system. One LSSGB learner commented on their experience in the program by saying, “I really enjoy the cross networking and problem solving and wish this was something I could continue to do professionally, just different departments working together, fresh eyes on projects.”
