Lean Six Sigma projects and the Staff Incentive Bonus Plan opportunities

Are you currently working on or planning an improvement project in your department? This could be anything from reducing turnaround times and enhancing workflows to optimizing processes to be efficient and effective for end users. As part of this year’s Staff Incentive Bonus Plan (SIBP), you can register Lean Six Sigma improvement projects that you are pursuing outside of the formal LSS training program. The benefits of registering these projects include:

  1. Support and mentorship from the Operational Excellence team
  2. Incentive bonus points!
  3. Recognition for the improvement work you are performing to make NEOMED a better place to work, study, research and teach.

Points toward your SIBP are based on your current belt level: University-approved yellow belt projects are worth three incentive bonus points, while green belt-level projects are worth five. Don't yet have your LSS Yellow Belt? No worries! The next cohort will begin in April. Check out to www.neomed.edu/eee for more information.

To learn more about the enrollment process and project expectations, please follow the links below (from the 2024-2025 Staff Incentive Bonus Plan).

*Please note: To be eligible for incentive bonus points, any Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt project must be registered with the Strategy Office, have an EMT-level project champion, and utilize LSS principles and tools. For requirements for LSS project registration and approval, visit LSS-Improvement-Project-Registration-Process.pdf. To sign up for a preliminary project discussion and formally submit your project idea for approval, complete the Lean Six Sigma Project Proposal Intake Form.

Please reach out to LSS@neomed.edu to inquire if projects meet requirements or for any questions!
