Dr. Lee to join panel discussion about changing landscape of public health
Amy Lee, M.D., M.P.H., MBA, professor of Family and Community Medicine and director of the Consortium of Eastern Ohio Master of Public Health program, will join a panel discussion about the changing landscape of public health at noon, Wednesday, Jan. 29 at East End Community Room in Goodyear Hall, 1201 E. Market St. in Akron.
The panel, hosted by the Akron Press Club, will include Donna Skoda, who recently served as public health commissioner in Summit County, and Tara C. Smith, Ph.D., professor in the College of Public Health at Kent State University.
Panel members will explore the impacts of COVID-19, shifting public policies, diminishing community trust and the challenges on the horizon. The discussion will be moderated by Cheryl Powell, executive editor of the Akron Beacon Journal, and will include an opportunity for audience questions.
