Library adds Self-Checkout kiosk

The NEOMED Library is pleased to announce the launch of its new MeeScan self-checkout kiosk, providing students, faculty and staff with a faster and more convenient way to borrow library materials.
The MeeScan system allows library users to check out books and other circulating materials independently using a simple, user-friendly interface. The new kiosk supports the library’s ongoing commitment to improving access, enhancing the user experience and expanding flexible services for the NEOMED community.
“We are excited to introduce MeeScan as another step toward creating a seamless and accessible library experience,” said Jennifer Rice, director of Library Services at NEOMED. “This technology gives users greater convenience while allowing library staff to focus more time on personalized research support, instruction, and student success initiatives.”
The kiosk is now available in the library at the Help Desk and complements the NEOMED Library’s broader efforts to modernize services and improve access to resources both on campus and remotely.
Library users can access the MeeScan app on their mobile devices or use the in-library kiosk to complete transactions quickly and efficiently.
The implementation of MeeScan reflects the library’s continued investment in innovative solutions that support the university’s academic, clinical, and research missions.
