M3 Anna Cmolik published in narrative medicine journal

Congratulations to M3 student Anna Cmolik, whose story "My Blankie" was published in the national narrative medicine journal Pulse - voices from the heart of medicine.

Pulse publishes a story or poem each Friday that is emailed to its thousands of subscribers. By highlighting the "humanity and vulnerability" of healthcare provider and patients alike, the journal "promotes the humanistic practice of medicine and encourages advocacy for compassionate health care for all." This is a fantastic accomplishment!

You can read Anna's story, which began as a Reflective Practice assignment revised with the guidance of her Reflective Practice group leaders, Nicole Robinson (the Narrative Medicine Coordinator at Akron Children's Hospital) and Dr. Timothy Barreiro, here.
