M4 Urban-Pathway Student Receives National Award
Congratulations to M4 Urban Primary Care Pathway (UPCP) student Aviva Aguilar, who was awarded the 2023 Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) Student Scholarship.
In addition to recognizing her strong commitment to academic family medicine through scholastic, volunteer and leadership pursuits, this award also acknowledges Aviva's potential for a career in academic medicine.
This honor provided support for Aviva to attend the 2023 Conference on Medical Student Education, which was held Jan. 26-29 in New Orleans. This is a highly competitive award, as some of the best and brightest medical students are nominated from across the country.
Aviva presented her project "Medical student and therapist-led exercise and stress management sessions in a local Hispanic/Latino community."
Congratulations Aviva!
