Mobile mammogram on campus Sept. 16

NEOMED is committed to the health and well-being of our employees, and we continue to offer new ways to help improve access to health information/services that you may find beneficial.
We are pleased to be offering on-site mammography screenings for our eligible female employees. In partnership with Women’s Diagnostic Center, we will offer annual routine 3D mammograms on-site in their mobile coach in the courtyard between The Village and buildings F and G.
The coach contains a check-in desk, a private changing area and 3D mammography equipment. This annual, preventive screening will take only 15 minutes. The results are sent to the patient and their identified healthcare provider within 3-4 business days. The screening will be covered at 100% and billed through your respective insurance company.
Please note: Ohio House Bill 371, or the “The Breast Cancer Bill,” was signed into law Sept. 23, 2022. This requires insurers to provide coverage for a yearly mammogram to all women regardless of age or risk factor.
Employees are eligible for this preventive screening if they:
- Have NOT had a mammogram during the 2024 calendar year.
- Are currently covered under an insurance plan.
- Do not have symptoms for breast disease.
Employees would be ineligible for this preventive screening if they:
- Have breast implants.
- Are pregnant or have been nursing within the past three months.
- Have a known malignancy in either breast.
