Nancy Gantt, M.D., inducted into Academy of Master Surgeon Educators

Nancy Gantt, M.D., FACS, professor of surgery at NEOMED, is among a group of 65 esteemed surgeon educators who will be inducted into membership in the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Academy of Master Surgeon Educators® on Sept. 30 during an event in Chicago.

Dr. Gantt was inducted as an associate member of the Academy, following a rigorous peer-review process.

Dr. Gantt is a dedicated surgeon-educator whose clinical interests are breast disease, medical education and women’s health. She has served on national committees for the American College of Surgeons and is chair of the Clerkship Directors’ Committee of the Association for Surgical Education. She is president-elect of the Ohio Chapter of the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Women Surgeons Foundation Chair. At NEOMED, she is the advisor for the student Surgery Interest Group and Surgical Specialty Advisor for fourth-year medicine students.

Dr. Gantt also is the co-medical director of the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center at Mercy St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio.
