NEOMED associate dean spotlighted by IAMSE

Leah Sheridan, Ph.D., associate dean for medical education and professor of integrative medical sciences, was featured in a member profile in a recent newsletter from the International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE).

In the profile, Dr. Sheridan shared her experiences at NEOMED and what she enjoys most about her position. “I enjoy sharing the lessons I have learned through teaching and curriculum development over the past 15 years with a new school and group of fabulous colleagues and educators, as well as learning from them best practices that support learner achievement in our particular setting and learning environment,” she told IAMSE.

According to IAMSE, the group selects a member to each month to highlight their academic and professional achievements.

The group recognized Dr. Sheridan earlier this year with a Distinguished Career Award for Excellence in Teaching and Educational Scholarship.

Dr. Sheridan will present at the upcoming NEOMED Celebration of Health Professions Education on Monday, Oct. 21.
