NEOMED doggos take over social media on National Dog Day

National Dog Day, celebrated every year on August 26, honors the paws-itively infectious energy and love that four-legged friends bring to the lives of their humans. We honored our furry friends by asking students, faculty and staff to share pictures of their dogs. You can views those pictures on our Facebook page.

National Dog Day was founded in 2004 by Colleen Paige, an animal rescue advocate, conservationist, dog trainer, author, pet and family lifestyle consultant, and founder of additional holidays honoring animal welfare, including National Cat Day and National Wildlife Day. National Dog Day was created to shed light on the plight of shelter animals and to encourage adoption.

And don’t worry cat lovers, National Cat Day is in October so we will be asking you for those photos in a couple months.
