NEOMED Free Clinic earns a 2025 Gold Rating

The NEOMED Free Clinic earned a 2025 Gold Rating from the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC) Quality Standards Program. This achievement reflects the Free Clinic’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare to uninsured individuals.

“The NEOMED Free Clinic is truly honored to receive the NAFC 2025 Gold Award,” said Saira Ismail, M.D., medical director of the NEOMED Free Clinic. “It's a reflection of the dedication from student volunteers, faculty, staff, community preceptors and the NEOMED community that prides itself on providing high-quality medical services to those who are most in need. The NEOMED Free Clinic looks forward to building upon its success of enriching the NEOMED students' educational experiences and deepening is connections with the local community.”

The NAFC’s mission is to build healthy communities through quality, equitable and accessible healthcare. To measure and maintain care standards across its network, the NAFC established a comprehensive set of Quality Standards, which member organizations voluntarily adopt and implement.

NAFC members voluntarily submit information to the NAFC on the various policies and procedures to attain their standards rating and attest/pledge that they successfully incorporate these standards within their organization.

NAFC Quality Standards elements include policies and procedures related to the following areas: Administrative, Enhanced Access and Continuity of Care, Identifying and Managing Patient Population information, Planning and Managing Care, Providing Self-Care Support and Community Resources, Tracking and Coordinating Care, and Measuring and Improving Performance.

Congratulations to the NEOMED Free Clinic!
