NEOMED Health Care, SRFC at Ravenna Balloon A-fair

On Sept. 16, NEOMED’s Student-Run Free Clinic (SRFC) and NEOMED Health Care had the privilege of being involved with the 44th annual Ravenna Balloon A-fair. The fair encompassed the weekend of Sept. 14-17 and involved a children’s parade, a hot air balloon glow, live music, food vendors and the grand parade.

Members of NEOMED Health Care and the SRFC walked in the grand parade, helping to promote the clinic. Community engagement lies at the core of the clinic as these events are where we can reach potential patients and educate them about the services both the SRFC and NEOMED Health Care have to offer. This event was a fun way to get involved in the local community and increase the people we can reach!

By passing out flyers for both NEOMED Health Care and the Student-Run Free Clinic everyone can get access to high-quality care that they might not have known was available. For those who are more artistically minded, designing and decorating the float was a creative outlet that we were able to show off. This was also a great way to meet fellow SRFC members as well as some of the physicians and staff that help make the clinic possible!
