NEOMED launches Executive Education programming

NEOMED is making significant strides in enhancing medical education with the launch of the Executive Education programming. This initiative aims to offer high quality professional development programs in Lean Six Sigma (LSS) process improvement, as well as advanced fellowships in clinical teaching, research and innovation that prepare health professionals to lead teams, optimize systems and improve health care.

The pilot of Executive Education programming is launching in collaboration with University Hospitals (UH). More than 200 UH employees will be invited to enroll in LSS in the coming months. About 25 UH learners have enrolled for a full cohort of the Health and Well-being Coaching Certificate program, which begins in March.

The other programs, including Fellowships in Academic Medicine with a clinical education or clinical research track, and Innovation Research and Entrepreneurship, will be available for learners in the near future.

LSS programs will continue to be offered to NEOMED employees as usual.

Operational oversight of the initiative is provided by NEOMED’s Strategy Office and championed by Jordan Cinderich, M.Ed., LSSBB, director of operational excellence.

“We are very excited to launch NEOMED Executive Education! We are noticing increased value in health care leaders in professionally developing their people in ways that go beyond traditional medical knowledge and clinical training,” Cinderich said. “NEOMED is launching these programs to serve as a partner in progress for health professionals as they navigate the shaping of the future.

“We are providing an increasingly important set of tools, skills and strategies to help lower costs of health care, achieve health equity and increase access and quality of care.”
