M4 Student Earns AMEF Scholarship

Fourth-year College of Medicine Student, Kelly Kimball, has been selected as the recipient of one of several AMEF scholarships. The Academy of Medicine Education Foundation (AMEF) awards scholarships each year to third-, fourth- and fifth-year medical students (MD/DO) who are residents of Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Portage, or Summit counties, and who have demonstrated an interest in being involved in organized medicine and community activities.

Recipients also possess leadership skills and demonstrate academic achievement. The AMEF was formed by the physician leadership of the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland and Northern Ohio (AMCNO) more than 50 years ago.

Since its inception, AMEF has granted more than $1.7 million in scholarships to qualified students.
