NEOMED Population and Global Health Case Competition
Join us to solve real-world health care problems in two days and receive an invaluable critical-thinking experience (and a chance to present a case at a national conference)!
Several NEOMED student organizations are hosting the first NEOMED Population and Global Health Case Competition in hopes of bringing undergraduate, graduate and professional students together to address a critical global health care challenge in a competitive and collaborative environment. Presentations will be given to a panel of judges to evaluate proposals and assign winners, who will have a chance to compete at the Emory Global Health Institute’s Case Competition!
The program will be held in Watanakunakorn Auditorium from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, (team assignments and group work) and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1 (case presentations and announcement of winners).
VOLUNTEER ADVISORS AND JUDGES NEEDED
Faculty volunteers from NEOMED or surrounding university (University of Akron, Kent State University, Cleveland State University, Case Western Reserve University, Youngstown State University, Hiram College, etc.) are needed to act as advisors for student teams to help come up with solutions and as judges to select winners of the competition based on a premade rubric.
