NEOMED Students Spread the Holiday Spirit

What’s better than a holiday party? A holiday party with Elsa and Olaf from Disney’s Frozen, of course. NEOMED students partnered with the Cleveland Police Department and Cleveland Police Athletic League to volunteer and bring cheer to the sixth annual Cleveland Police Department’s holiday party.

In addition to dressing like beloved children’s holiday personalities, more than 20 pharmacy and medicine students from NEOMED did face-painting and led ornament-making activities. They also helped children write their letters to Santa.

Held at Cleveland Public Hall, the event provided more than 1,000 children and their families with a fun holiday memory that included prizes and activities.

“I have volunteered at this event for all six years of the parties. These students helped make it the best party yet,” says Margy Sanders, M.A., director of the Office of Palliative Care and assistant professor of family and community medicine.
