NEOMED welcomes Aultman Health System team
On Friday, Oct. 16, Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) welcomed leaders from Aultman Health System to campus for a site visit focused on strategic priorities, educational collaboration and opportunities to strengthen the partnership between the two organizations.
The visit included campus tours and discussions centered on NEOMED’s Education and Workforce Pillar Workplan and Leadership and Faculty Development Pillar Workplans. These conversations provided an opportunity to share how Aultman Health System and NEOMED are preparing transformational leaders in healthcare, explore the University’s educational and innovation resources, and identify potential opportunities for future collaboration.
The visit included Dr. JoAnn Krivetzky, vice president of medical education; Dr. Steven Kelly, chief medical officer, Aultman Health System, and president, Aultman Hospital; and Bryan Woit, senior vice president for strategic planning. Throughout the visit, Aultman leaders learned more about NEOMED’s campus, resources and ongoing strategic initiatives.
One of the tour stops was the Timken Medical Device Innovation Center (MEDIC), where the group explored resources that support healthcare innovation, including medical device design, prototyping and 3D printing. MEDIC provides space, equipment and expertise that help students, healthcare professionals and other innovators explore ideas and develop solutions to clinical challenges.
The visit reinforced the importance of continued collaboration between NEOMED and Aultman as both organizations work to advance health professions education, workforce development and healthcare innovation across the region.
