NEOMED Welcomes Dr. Shapali Bagde

In March 2026, the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences welcomed a new faculty member and assistant professor, Dr. Shapali Bagde.

Dr. Bagde’s main responsibilities will include serving as faculty/course director for both the Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Calculations courses.

She comes to NEOMED with expertise in drug delivery, formulation development, and regulatory science. Her key professional experience is with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration contributing to product-specific guidance development and bioequivalence evaluation for generic oral and buccal drug products. She is also a published researcher dedicated to advancing pharmaceutical research and mentoring future pharmacists and scientists.

Dr. Bagde earned her PhD in Industrial Pharmacy from St. John’s University in New York and holds a Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics from the University of Mumbai.
