Neurophilia podcast: A deep dive into neurology with current students

In the Season Three opener, The Neurophilia Podcast team, including Nupur Goel, M.D. (’23), and Blake Buletko, M.D. (’12), brought together five medical students from around the country to discuss their experiences with neurology at the medical school level. The two-part program covers both the preclinical and clinical years, providing listeners with a comprehensive understanding of what it's like to study neurology at a medical university.

Part One features NEOMED College of Medicine students Meera Nair (M2), and Sean Hergenrother (M3), who shared their insights on the preclinical years. The pair discussed topics such as neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and the challenges they faced as they began to explore the complexities of the nervous system.

Our students shared how they became interested in neurology, and what excites and scares them about their potential future in the field of neurology.

In Part Two, students from other medical schools shared their experiences with neurology during the clinical years, including their rotations, clinical experiences and the unique challenges they've encountered as they transition from the classroom to the bedside
