New bookstore location features White Coat Room

The newly relocated bookstore in the Jay A. Gershen Atrium has something special just for students – their own room dedicated to white coats, among other specific needs.

You can find this room by taking a slight right past the register shortly after entering the store. Students will find white coats of all shapes and sizes neatly hanging up, waiting to be tried on for the right fit.

“Students have appreciated their own space and it makes it much more efficient for them,” said Christine Kovacich, who operates the bookstore and oversaw its move to the new location. “They can easily stop in, try on their coat and pick up anything else they may need.”

Kovacich remarked that some recent alumni have visited and mentioned they wish they had a white coat room while they were students.

The room also features textbooks, medical equipment such as stethoscopes, and scrubs so students can quickly locate and gather their purchases, even if they just have a minute or two to spare.
