College of Medicine Welcomes New Employees

The College of Medicine welcomes two employees:

  • William “Bill” Wyss to the College of Medicine’s Curriculum Operations Team.
  • Jennifer Manista to the College of Medicine’s Curriculum Operations Team. 

Bill is a new site curriculum coordinator at University Hospital. Bill comes to NEOMED from Aultman College, Kent State University, Malone University, the University of Akron and the University of Mount Union as an adjunct professor. Bill also began an affiliation at NEOMED in 2015 as a standardized patient, proctor and facilitator at the Wasson Center. Bill’s spouse, Dr. Lora Wyss is a professor of nursing at Malone University, as well as an adjunct instructor at NEOMED. The couple has two adult daughters. Rebecca lives in Brooklyn, New York, while Sarah recently moved to Broadview Heights, Ohio. In addition to his professional career, Bill has acted as a volunteer at the Canton Museum of Art, the Hartville Migrant Center and WRMU (Radio Mount Union). Bill has a vast background in in education. Fun fact about Bill is that he was born in Anchorage, Alaska but grew up in Northeast Ohio.

Jennifer (she/her/hers) is a new site curriculum coordinator assigned at Akron Children’s Hospital. Jennifer comes to NEOMED from the University of Akron, where she spent the last seven years as the Microbiology Laboratory Coordinator and as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Biology. She brings a strong passion for education and student engagement. Jennifer lives in Jackson Township with her partner, Don, and her 16-year-old son, Collin. In her spare time, you can find her biking on the Towpath, reading horror/suspense novels, exploring new cities, and attending concerts. Jennifer is very excited to join the NEOMED Curriculum Operations Team and is looking forward to working with a new population of students!
