New Personnel/Reorganization in Office of Financial Aid

I am happy to announce that the Office of Financial Aid has welcomed two new team members.

Daniel Miller joined the team on Sept. 15 as our financial aid counselor.  In his words:

I’m originally from Akron. I moved to Phoenix, Arizona, at age 13, where I eventually met my wife of 14 years this October. I have two kiddos, both boys, ages 13 and 10. In the valley (greater Phoenix area), I was fortunate enough to work in financial aid for about 10 years aggregate with the University of Phoenix (UOP), the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) in Mesa, and the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in Tempe. During my time with UOP, I went to school and earned my bachelor’s degree in accounting. I moved back to Ohio in August of this year and am currently residing in Salem.

I’m an avid horror movie fan, Arizona Coyotes fan (I know, they are terrible and have been for their existence, but I’m still a fan), 90s alternative rock fan, and retro video game player/collector.  We have two cats, a boy and a girl, who also were privileged enough to partake in our cross-country drive from Arizona to Ohio.

My hope for my career in financial aid is that I can stay with NEOMED long-term and help our students and my team as much as possible. I’ve worked in financial aid in a variety of capacities, with each opportunity teaching me different aspects of the entire financial aid process.  I want use what I know and continue to learn and grow more in my role, while putting all of what I have learned to good use.  I just want to be a well-rounded asset to this school.  But outside of financial aid, my dream is to someday own an arcade with retro games from the '80s, '90s, and early 2000s.  But we’ll see…

Alice McCullough joined the team on Oct.3 as our financial aid specialist.  In her words:

My name is Alice McCullough and I am currently in the position of financial aid specialist here at NEOMED in the Admission and Financial Aid Department. I just started so there is a lot to learn and take in. I am very excited to be here and am looking forward to advancing my career and experience here at NEOMED.

I am a mother of three great adult children, Tiffany, Tyler & Matthew and enjoy watching them grow into amazing adults. I have three Shih Tzus -- Cricket, Cuddles & Coco -- and they can be more of a handful than my children can.

My trajectory with financial aid is to gain more insight and experience in all aspects of financial aid. I hope to learn and grow in this position by learning all of the ins and outs that come with the ever changing rules and regulations in financial aid.

Please join me in welcoming them to NEOMED!
