New role for Scott Wisneski, Pharm.D.

Scott Wisneski, Pharm.D., M.B.A., R.Ph., has been appointed vice dean of the College of Graduate Studies, effective July 1.

As vice dean, Dr. Wisneski will contribute to primary administrative responsibilities within the College by serving as the chief academic and strategic officer. Dr. Wisneski will oversee professional and faculty development within the College using his experience as a pharmacy and graduate studies educator and member of NEOMED’s Master Teacher Guild. The vice dean will drive the implementation of new programs and educational activities within the College and counsel the dean of the College on matters of governance.

Dr. Wisneski will maintain his education and service roles as associate professor of pharmacy practice in the College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Wisneski’s proven leadership experience as a pharmacist, clinical educator and graduate program director specifically prepares him for the role of vice dean.

“I am ecstatic that Dr. Wisneski has accepted the vice dean position,” said Julie Aultman, Ph.D., dean of the College of Graduate Studies. “He will be integral to the growth and success of NEOMED’s graduate education, while leading professional development initiatives for our students and faculty that align with the mission and values of our University.”

Dr. Wisneski received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Walsh University. Prior to joining NEOMED, he was the pharmacy manager at Summa Health System. During his career, he has held positions in clinical pharmacy, hospital pharmacy management, pharmaceutical industry and the military, where he was a captain in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps. He has been a faculty member at NEOMED since joining the College of Pharmacy in 2016.
