New role for Vanessa Painter

The College of Medicine is pleased to announce that Vanessa Painter, M.M.Ed., M.A.Ed., has accepted the director of curriculum data role. Sara Kosiba, Ph.D., now assistant dean of curriculum data and assessment, previously held this role.

In her almost five years at NEOMED, Painter has held positions of increasing responsibility, including her most recent role as curriculum manager, where she oversaw the coordination of the M1/M2 biomedical science courses. She successfully managed a team of coordinators who assisted faculty in providing high-quality educational experiences to students, was instrumental in helping to facilitate course calendar adjustments, and provided advice on course alignments and logistics.

Painter's experience with the COM curriculum and her track record of strategic thinking will be an asset in her new role. As director of curriculum data, she will develop and manage data relevant to COM curriculum assessment and evaluation, working to optimize data collection to continually measure student success and experience.
