Medical students launch burn-surgery research newsletter
Students from the NEOMED College of Medicine worked with burn surgeon Deepak Ozhathil, M.D., at Akron Children's Hospital, and created a newsletter to share their experiences.
"We first connected with Dr. O at the end of our first year of medical school through the Surgery Interest Group," explained Jillian Wilkerson, M2. "Since then, he has been an exceptional mentor and principal investigator, providing us with invaluable guidance and opportunities to strengthen our research skills. Through this newsletter, we hope to highlight the exciting accomplishments within the burn research program and to share our enthusiasm for the impactful work being done."
The newsletter will be published quarterly.
