Next VITALS speaker is a leader in quality improvement in healthcare
Shehzad A. Saeed, M.D., FAAP, AGAF, NASPGHAN-F, joins VITALS | Visionary Health Leadership in Action at noon, Thursday, Oct. 8, via Zoom.
Dr. Saeed, who is professor of pediatrics at Boonshoft School of Medicine, Wright State University, and physician lead for patient and family experience and the associate chief medical officer at Dayton Children’s Hospital, will share his insights on healthcare leadership and quality improvement. Dr. Saeed is clinical director for the ImproveCareNow Network.

About Dr. Saeed
Shehzad A. Saeed, M.D., FAAP, AGAF, NASPGHAN-F, is currently a professor of pediatrics at Boonshoft School of Medicine, Wright State University, and physician lead for patient and family experience and associate chief medical officer at Dayton Children’s Hospital. He also serves as the clinical director of the international quality improvement learning health network, ImproveCareNow (ICN) Network.
He is a graduate of Dow Medical College and completed his pediatric residency at University of Chicago, and pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at Floating Hospital for Children, New England Medical Center, Tufts University, Boston. His previous leadership roles include fellowship and division director of pediatric gastroenterology at University of Alabama at Birmingham, clinical director of the Schubert-Martin Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center, medical director of Inpatient GI and Colorectal Unit and director of outpatient operations at Liberty Campus at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center.
He is an active member of NASPGHAN serving as past chair of the IBD Committee and the Public Education Committee. In his role as the clinical director of ImproveCareNow network, he provides executive oversight and supervision of clinical operations, strategic initiatives and operations of the 100+ center international Quality Improvement network which has centers in the U.S., England, Belgium and Middle East-Qatar. He is also serving on the steering committee of a 17 member Children’s Hospital Consortium focused on improving patient and families experience of care. He has authored/co-authored several peer reviewed manuscripts and book chapters.
