NHSC Students to Service Loan Repayment Program

HRSA has announced the application cycle for their National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Students to Service Loan Repayment Program. Current M4 students (Class of 2023) are eligible to receive up to $120,000 (tax-free) to pay off student loan debt in exchange for a three-year service commitment in a high-need rural, tribal or urban community.

Please view the full program guidance document that outlines terms and conditions of the program.

Application deadline: Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. EST

Approved specialties:

  • Family Medicine
  • General Internal Medicine
  • General Pediatrics
  • Geriatrics
  • Obstetrics/Gynecology
  • Psychiatry (including Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists)

If you are planning to match in a residency program to specialize in one of the above approved specialties and have at least $120,000 in student loan debt, then I would highly recommend that you apply for this outstanding opportunity.

HRSA is offering multiple webinars, and I would recommend all interested students to attend. Webinars will take place on October 11, November 8, and November 22.

See webinar details.
