Nominations now open for two student awards
Nominations are now being accepted for two awards recognizing NEOMED students who make a difference through leadership, service and community impact. These awards allow us to celebrate students who serve others and create welcoming environments in our community.
Walgreens Pharmacy Champion Award Scholarship
The Walgreens Pharmacy Champion Award honors a pharmacy student who has demonstrated leadership, academic success and a strong commitment to advancing pharmacy, healthcare and high-quality patient care in a community setting. Eligible nominees must be enrolled in the College of Pharmacy as a P2, P3 or P4. The winner will receive a financial award of $2,500 sponsored by Walgreens Pharmacy.
Community Builder Award
The Community Builder Award recognizes a medical, pharmacy or graduate student who has made meaningful contributions to improving their communities. This award celebrates students who serve their community and create environments where people feel valued and supported. It is open to students beyond their first year of study at NEOMED. The front-runner will receive a $500 award.
Faculty, staff, instructors, peers or community members may submit nominations for both awards. Self-nominations are welcome; however, students nominating themselves must also ask a maximum of two people to complete a nomination form on their behalf.
Deadline for nominations is Sunday, Sept. 21.
Award recipients will be announced at the Multicultural Festival on Thursday, Oct. 9.
