Rising second-year medicine students Maximillian Brockwell and Michaela Stamper discussed the potential negative impact on women’s health of the reversal of Roe v. Wade in an op-ed in Wednesday’s Plain Dealer:
“Restricting access to health care of any type is a source of major concern for health care providers. Many Ohioans already experience massive barriers to care, from scouring the area for affordable medication, to traveling great distances for in-network treatment.
“Anti-abortion laws would exacerbate these issues for women, pushing them across state lines for expensive procedures.”
