Paid research participation opportunity for medicine students

Improve your patient-provider skills: Participate in a study about examining how medical education is related to clinical practice skills

We are currently seeking M2, M3 and M4 students to participate in a NEOMED IRB-approved study that will help you build clinical skills relevant to cultural competence.

Participants will receive two hours of additional supplemental training outside of the standard curriculum related to cultural competence in exchange for $50. Participants will also complete an ungraded clinical skills assessment in the form of a 30-minute simulated clinical encounter followed by a 10- to 15-minute questionnaire at the NEOMED Wasson Center in exchange for $75.

Participation is voluntary and will not affect your academic standing. Total compensation = $125.

If interested, please contact Kristen Knepp, Ph.D., assistant professor, Department of Family and Community Medicine,  kknepp@neomed.edu, or Mary Himmelstein, Ph.D., assistant professor, Psychological Sciences, Kent State University, mhimmels@kent.edu, to schedule an appointment.
