Participants Complete Final Day of Formal Training in NEOMED Teaching and Learning Curriculum Program
The College of Pharmacy Teaching and Learning Curriculum (TLC) program participants completed their last day of the curriculum on Thursday, March 5, 2026. This year-long program is for PGY-1 and PGY-2 pharmacy residents, and other independent participants, who are interested in developing skills that can be applied to future preceptor and faculty roles.
Participants attended five training modules throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, covering topics such as teaching and assessment strategies, small and large group instruction, experiential teaching, and career development in academia.
Participants gained hands-on teaching experience through activities such as delivering lectures, developing assessments, and tutoring pharmacy students. Each participant developed a personal teaching philosophy and is working to assemble a teaching portfolio that can be used as they pursue future positions in pharmacy academia.
The TLC Program is directed by Petrea Cober, Pharm.D., M.Ed., BCNSP, BCPPS, FASPEN, Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Director of Professional and Workforce Development in the NEOMED College of Pharmacy.
Residents who successfully complete all program requirements will receive a certificate of completion from the NEOMED College of Pharmacy later this year.
