NEOMED is partnering with Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine, the University of Toledo and four clinical health systems in Northeast Ohio on a federal grant to expand broad-based initiatives to improve the lives of people in this region and beyond. The seven-year, $56.3 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) was awarded to the CWRU School of Medicine’s Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative of which NEOMED is a part.
“Northeast Ohio Medical University is honored and excited to be a new partner in the CWRU-led Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative. We are joining a world-class team of universities and health systems to expand the impact of this outstanding research program across Northern Ohio,” NEOMED President John Langell said in a press release announcing the award. “The impact of this partnership on improving health equity in Ohio and beyond will be immeasurable.”
