Pharmacy student appointed to national committee

Woman in white coat stands in a walkway flanked by flags at the UNFourth-year pharmacy student Deanna Laughlin has been appointed chair of the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum Executive Committee for the 2026-2027 term.

The ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum Executive Committee is comprised of five students from across the country appointed by the ASHP president. The Executive Committee advises the ASHP Board of Directors and staff on the overall direction of the Forum, including member benefits and services.

As chair, Laughlin also serves as the voting student representative to the ASHP House of Delegates.

The Executive Committee assists in building relationships between ASHP and all of the U.S. colleges of pharmacy by serving as liaisons, providing information to student society leaders, and helping to strengthen the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacy (SSHP) activities and programs on each campus.

Congratulations, Deanna!
