Pharmacy students match into residency

Congratulations to the 19 fourth-year students in the College of Pharmacy who matched into postgraduate year one (PGY1) residency in the ASHP Resident Match Program, Phase 1.

One of those students, Lauren Ashton, matched into a two-year program for PGY1 and PGY2.

Additionally, seven NEOMED alumni matched into PGY2 specialized pharmacy residency positions.

The ASHP Resident Match Program helps applicants obtain positions in residency programs of their choice and helps programs obtain applicants of their choice. It is similar to matching programs used in other health professions, including medicine, dentistry and others.

The pharmacy match is conducted in two phases. Phase I was held March 18. Phase 2 will be held April 22.

Congratulations to all the students and alumni who matched!
