Pharmacy students match into residency
Congratulations to the 18 fourth-year students in the College of Pharmacy who matched into postgraduate year one (PGY1) residency in the ASHP Resident Match Program, Phase 1.
Additionally, five NEOMED alumni matched into PGY2 specialized pharmacy residency positions.
Clockwise from upper left: Sophia Santos, Kelly Homolak, Kaitlyn Myk-Kish and Kirolos Zakhary.
The ASHP Resident Match Program helps applicants obtain positions in residency programs of their choice, and helps programs obtain applicants of their choice. It is like matching programs used in other health professions, including medicine, dentistry and others.
The pharmacy match is conducted in two phases. Phase I was held March 19. Phase 2 will be held April 23.
