The teaching hospital is a regional pediatric referral center for Florida's west coast, with more than half of its beds devoted to intensive care level services. It was the first hospital system outside of the Baltimore/Washington, D.C., region to join Johns Hopkins Medicine.

“I'm honored to be joining the Board of Trustees of the Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital network,” Dr. Faison said. “This is an amazing organization bringing hope and cures to so many children and their families, while making a difference every day to improve the lives of all children and the communities in which they live. It's a privilege to have the opportunity to serve and help!”
