Pulse rolls out new, cleaner look

Notice anything different today?

Today’s Pulse is wearing a new coat, a crisp shirt and shined shoes. Beyond the new look, we’ve made changes behind the scenes to make it easier to submit news and events.

The new design is deliberately simpler and cleaner, all to improve the display on mobile devices and in the preview panes of Outlook and Gmail.

We’re also introducing a single slimmed down form for submitting news, events and announcements. Both the new form and the editing process were analyzed and improved using Lean Six Sigma tools. It now should take the Office of Marketing and Communications less time to produce each issue.

Plus, the submission form is now easier to find; we’ve added a link to the form toward the top of every issue, right under the date.

We want to know what you think of the changes. How can we further improve the Pulse to make it more useful? Let us know your thoughts.
