Recent graduate featured in AMA publication

Rommel Morales, M.D. (’24), will soon begin his residency in the OB/GYN program at Wright State University.

When he entered NEOMED, his plan had been to pursue residency in cardiology, but that changed over the course of his journey through the College of Medicine and with complications in the birth of his own children.

Dr. Morales’ story was featured recently in a web article from the American Medical Association (AMA), titled “How medical student parents factor in family when picking a specialty.”

“You have to harmonize your partner’s needs with your own professional goals and what you will feel most complete doing in terms of specialty choice,” Dr. Morales told AMA.
