Respond by Oct. 15: NEOMED Flag Display Project

“Our Cultures, Our Community” NEOMED Flag Display Project

The NEOMED community continues to grow in our diversity, our uniqueness and our connections to one another. In order to build a community that is successful at transforming healthcare and resolving problems, we need to understand and appreciate the many cultures that make up our NEOMED community.

NEOMED's new flag display, “Our Cultures, Our Community” will represent the countries from which our students and their families come and will serve as a constant reminder that inclusion of people from different cultures and experiences in decision-making will help us to create a richer and enriching community life here at NEOMED. This in turn will more effectively help us to overcome and prevent racial and ethnic divisions. An appreciation of cultural diversity goes hand-in-hand with a just and equitable society.

We invite our NEOMED students to share their cultural heritage so that we can display your chosen flag in the NEW Center Watanakunakorn Atrium and celebrate your culture in a shared way. We invite you to complete the survey by October 15 to help establish the flags for our campus display. Then, watch The Pulse for more information about the unveiling celebration later this fall!

Nations listed are those who are members of the United Nations, however if you are from a country not represented on the survey, email semerick@neomed.edu.
