Sara Kosiba, Ph.D., in a new role

The College of Medicine is pleased to announce the appointment of Sara Kosiba, Ph.D., as assistant dean of curriculum data and assessment.

As assistant dean, Dr. Kosiba will provide leadership and expertise to ensure rigorous evaluation of the M.D. educational program, which involves oversight and evaluation of performance outcomes pertaining to the courses of the COM curriculum.

Dr. Kosiba joined the College of Medicine in 2021 and has recently been director of curriculum data. In this role, she oversaw the College and University needs for COM curriculum data and reporting, served as administrator for college software systems, and led process improvements to enhance the use of data to create an optimal learning environment for students.

Dr. Kosiba has a Ph.D. in English, an M.Ed. in higher education administration and student affairs, and a certificate in institutional research and assessment from Kent State University.
