Save the Date for the Spring Celebration of Health Professions Education

Please plan to join us for the Celebration of Health Professions Education to be held Monday, April 14, from 12:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the Great Hall or via Zoom. The theme of the April Celebration is Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Health Professions Education.  

We look forward to welcoming:

Kenneth Remy, M.D., M.H.S.c., MSCI, FCCM, the Ellery Sedgwick, Jr. Chair and Distinguished Scientist in Cardiovascular Research and Director: Blood, Heart, Lung and Immunology Research Center, School of Medicine at Case Western Reserve and University Hospitals of Cleveland, who will present on AI in clinical care and teaching.

Timothy Aungst, Pharm.D., professor of pharmacy practice, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, who will discuss the challenges, ethical considerations and strategies for effectively integrating artificial intelligence into health professions education.

NEOMED faculty member Philip Turk, Ph.D., will share the status of the NEOMED AI Working Group, along with subgroup chairs:

  • Education: M. Petrea Cober, Pharm.D., BCNSP, BCPPS, FASPEN
  • Administration: Maria Schimer, J.D., M.P.H.
  • Research: Jennifer Reneker, PT, MSPT, Ph.D.
