Save the date: Summa Health symposium on cognitive and mental health for the elderly on Oct. 15
Summa Health will hold its second annual senior health symposium titled "Prioritizing Mentation and Cognitive Health for Age-Friendly Care" from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Raymond C. Firestone Auditorium on Summa Health's Akron campus. A virtual attendance option via WebEx will be offered.
This year’s symposium aims to address key issues in senior healthcare, including cognitive health and mentation, which are crucial elements of age-friendly care. The program is designed for a multidisciplinary audience, including physicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, therapists, case workers and administrators. NEOMED faculty, students, residents, fellows and staff can attend at no cost.
The event will feature a keynote address about the impact of public policies on Alzheimer’s care and support.
