Serving up some alphabet soup

NEOMED has grown a lot in the past two years.

And so has our list of commonly used acronyms, last published in August 2023.

To help new students, faculty and staff avoid drowning in alphabet soup, the Office of Student Services and the Office of Marketing and Communications have updated the reference guide to include some of the more common acronyms used at NEOMED and in the health professions.

Some new entries to the list came with the opening of the Bitonte College of Dentistry (BCOD or COD, in case you were wondering): ADA (American Dental Association); ADEA (American Dental Education Association); and ODA (Ohio Dental Association) are among the new entries.

Several new student groups and local hospitals have also been added.
