Golden Reflections podcast episode explores our bright future

A special episode of NEOMED’s 50th anniversary podcast, Golden Reflections, provides a look into the future of NEOMED and what to expect in the next 50 years.
In the episode, President John Langell, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., M.B.A., is joined by Paul Bishop, J.D., trustee emeritus, Daisy Alford-Smith, Ph.D, former trustee, Mark Mosley, chair of the NEOMED Foundation Board of Directors, and Sanjay Jinka, M.D. (’23), former student trustee. The group reflects on NEOMED’s journey since its inception in 1973. They discuss the University’s evolution from a small college to a well-recognized institution known for its innovative approach to education and community health. The episode highlights key milestones and favorite memories throughout the last 50 years.
As NEOMED celebrates its golden anniversary, Dr. Langell provides a forward-looking perspective on the University’s future. Dr. Langell emphasizes NEOMED’s commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration. He discusses the importance of strengthening our clinical partnerships and continuing to grow new ones. “We’ve got an amazing and beautiful and thriving, growing campus,” he says on the podcast. “For our growth, it’s really going to be unlimited, but it should be focused on who we are -- delivering high-quality, high-value opportunities to our students and communities.”
