Spring cleaning for your processes: Introducing NEOMED’s refreshed Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program

Spring is often associated with clearing out clutter and starting fresh. The same idea applies to organizational processes. When outdated steps, unclear roles, and unnecessary complexity accumulate, performance suffers.

NEOMED Executive Education’s Lean Six Sigma Green Belt for Service and Education Operations (LSSGB-SEO) was redesigned with that same spirit of renewal, helping NEOMED employees to identify waste, streamline workflows, and build systems that sustain improvement.

Offered through the NEOMED Employee Empowered Excellence (EEE) program, LSSGB-SEO is open to any current NEOMED employee with a Yellow Belt certification. Already started Green Belt but never completed your project? Or perhaps you previously certified as a Green Belt and would like a refresher? All are welcome!

Starting April 1 and spanning six months, this refreshed Green Belt experience will include:

  • Asynchronous Learning Modules focused on Lean Six Sigma principles and professional skill development, including project management, change enablement, team dynamics, and leadership
  • Deep-Dive Online Sessions to explore improvement tools and concepts in greater detail (Offered monthly on Tuesdays from 12-1pm)
  • In-Person Peer Coaching sessions to apply course learning and develop project ideas with support from fellow participants (Four 2-hour sessions on Tuesdays 11-1pm offered over the first 6 months)
  • Project Mentoring from Lean Six Sigma–certified instructors

To successfully earn Green Belt certification, learners must:

  • Complete the online learning modules
  • Attend scheduled online and in-person sessions (approximately two per month, ranging from 1–2 hours)
  • Identify and execute a Green Belt-level improvement project
  • Pass the final certification exam

Through this refreshed program, participants will gain the tools and support needed to lead meaningful improvements across NEOMED’s service lines. You can register for our April cohort here.
