Students: Be a Part of the Change; Sign Up to Participate in Focus Groups

Help us further improve your experience at NEOMED by volunteering this month to be part of a student focus group.

We are forming the groups to help us better understand the results from the “Exceptional Student Experience Net Promoter Score Survey” that many of you completed earlier this year.

Specifically, focus group participants will be asked to suggest and discuss specific action plans to improve the curriculum, the climate and the environment of the institution, and the services provided to all NEOMED students.

There will be eight focus groups in total, some in-person and others via Zoom, in which rising second-, third- and fourth-year students can participate. Lunch will be provided during in-person sessions. We need 64 students total to participate, so please consider signing up!

Focus groups will be held:

  • Thursday, 5/19, 12 - 1 p.m., IN PERSON
  • Monday, 5/23, 5-6 AND 6 - 7 p.m.,  ZOOM
  • Tuesday, 5/24, 12 - 1 p.m. AND 1 - 2 p.m., IN PERSON
  • Wednesday, 5/25, 5 – 6 p.m., ZOOM
  • Thursday, 5/26, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., IN PERSON
  • Tuesday, 5/31, 12 - 1 p.m., IN PERSON

To participate, please sign up in CampusGroups.

Background

The focus groups are part of the Exceptional Student Experience (ESE), a strategic priority for NEOMED. We are using Lean Six Sigma methodology to define the aspects, values, priorities, and opportunities for operationalizing and assessing the "exceptional student experience" at NEOMED.

The Exceptional Student Experience Task Team, led by Dr. Sandra Emerick and Dr. Sebastian Diaz, and supported with generous grant funding from the Strategic Planning Team, is part of the University’s continual quest to provide our students with exceptional experiences.
