Student recognized by national pathology organization

Fourth-year medical student Kate Kravets was recently presented with the Distinguished Medical Student Award, given by the College of American Pathologists.

Kravets was nominated for the the award by Jennifer Baccon, M.D., Ph.D., chair of pathology and laboratory medicine at Akron Children’s Hospital and NEOMED professor of pathology.

According to CAP, the award recognizes "outstanding achievement, aptitude and initiative in learning and participating in pathology and laboratory medicine."
