Student Services hosts annual “De-Stress Fest” to help students recharge
As the semester enters its busiest stretch, the Office of Student Services at NEOMED is inviting students to take a break, recharge and prioritize their well-being during De-Stress Fest, Nov. 16–20. This week-long initiative features a variety of fun, accessible activities designed to help students manage stress, connect with others and make time for themselves before the end of the semester.
Students are encouraged to stop by throughout the week to enjoy activities that promote physical, mental and social wellness. Click on the day or event title below to register for individual activities. Registration is required!
- All Week: De-Stress Bags – Pick up a bag of goodies filled with items to help you relax, recharge, and take a break from studying.
- Tuesday and Thursday: Paws & Relax – Spend time with furry friends and enjoy a little stress relief through animal interaction.
- Wednesday: Popcorn, Push-Ups, Planks & President – Join NEOMED President Dr. John Langell for a fun, interactive wellness activity featuring popcorn, movement and an opportunity to connect with the University president in Campbell Atrium outside of Meshel Hall.
- Friday: Make Time for Your Wellness – Take advantage of your Sequoia membership and make personal wellness a priority.
- All Week: Sequoia Fitness Assessments – Schedule and complete a fitness assessment with Sequoia during De-Stress Fest for a chance to be entered into a raffle.
Daily activities will take place from noon to 1 p.m. outside the Student Services Office, offering students a convenient opportunity to step away from their studies, enjoy a quick break and connect with campus resources.
“De-Stress Fest is a reminder that taking care of yourself is an important part of being a successful student,” said Regan Strine of the Office of Student Services. “We hope students will take a few minutes out of their busy schedules to participate, connect with others, and discover simple ways to support their well-being.”
The Office of Student Services encourages all students to participate in De-Stress Fest and explore the many ways they can support their wellness during this demanding time of the semester. Whether spending time with therapy animals, enjoying a snack, getting moving, or connecting with campus leadership, students are encouraged to make time for themselves and finish the semester strong.
