Student work recognized at national hematology conference

Henyah Dardir (M3) received recognition for her strong presentation at the American Society of Hematology (ASH) National Conference in Orlando, Florida, in early December. Dardir worked with NEOMED alumnus Omer Ashruf, M.D. ('25), who was lead author, and other colleagues on the project.

The project, titled "Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events (MACE) in Patients with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) Treated with Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors (TKIs): A Target Trial Emulation Study," was awarded an ASH Abstract Achievement Award.

The ASH conference is one of the largest national conferences devoted to hematologic malignancies and cancers.
