The NEOMED “Summer of Wellness” schedule is effective from Memorial Day to Labor Day! 

Summer of Wellness: 

Each Friday during the Summer of Wellness, the president is granting departments leave beginning at 3 p.m. to allow employees time to participate in a wellness activity. 

For holidays recognized during the Summer of Wellness, departments begin their wellness leave at 2 p.m. on the business day before the holiday. To celebrate the start of summer, the summer leave will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 26.

The remaining holiday schedule is as follows: 

Juneteenth - Observed Monday, June 19, leave begins at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 16 
Independence Day - Tuesday, July 4, leave begins at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 3
Labor Day - Monday, September 4, leave begins at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 1

The Summer of Wellness will end with the Labor Day holiday. 

As employees are paid for an eight-hour day, any employee that is using sick or vacation time on a Friday during the Summer of Wellness should indicate eight hours of sick or vacation time on their timesheet or leave report.
